InsightFlow is built with privacy at its core. Unlike traditional survey platforms, we never store your survey responses on our servers. All your data stays in YOUR Google Drive, giving you complete ownership and control.

What Data We Collect

Authentication Data

When you sign in with Google, we store minimal authentication information including your email address and OAuth tokens necessary to connect to your Google Drive and Sheets.

Survey Metadata

We store basic survey metadata such as unique share tokens that link to your Google Sheets. This allows respondents to submit answers without having your Sheet ID exposed.

What We DON'T Store

  • Survey questions
  • Survey responses
  • Respondent data
  • Analysis results

All of this data is stored directly in Google Sheets in your Google Drive.

How We Use Your Data

  • To authenticate you with Google services
  • To create and manage Google Sheets on your behalf
  • To generate unique, shareable survey links
  • To provide AI-powered question generation and insights

Google API Services

InsightFlow uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication and Google APIs to interact with your Google Drive and Sheets. We request only the minimum permissions necessary:

  • drive.file - To create and manage survey sheets in your Drive
  • spreadsheets - To read and write survey data to Google Sheets
  • userinfo.email - To identify your account
  • userinfo.profile - To personalize your experience

Data Retention

Since your survey data is stored in your Google Drive, you have complete control over retention. You can delete surveys at any time by removing the Google Sheets from your Drive. We retain authentication data as long as you have an active account.

Third-Party Services

  • Google Cloud - For authentication and data storage in your Drive
  • Google Gemini AI - For survey question generation and insights (no personal data is shared)
  • Vercel - For hosting and infrastructure
  • Neon - For authentication database

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data at any time through your Google Drive
  • Delete your survey data by removing sheets from your Drive
  • Revoke InsightFlow's access to your Google account at any time
  • Request deletion of your InsightFlow account
